Susan G Komen, a foundation created to educate and “find a cure” for breast cancer, pulled their funding to Planned Parenthood. Planned parenthood has provided 170,000 breast exams, given 6,400 people free/reduced cost mammograms, and detected 177 cancers through their funding.

Earlier in this pregnancy, I filled out my “Initial Health History” form for prenatal and birth care. You know: check the box if you’ve experienced severe headaches, diabetes, all sorts of things. After the usual “Emotional abuse,” “Physical abuse,” “Sexual abuse,” I got to this very interesting item: ”ANY unwanted/undesired physical or sexual contact.”

read the link. so spot on.

HAHAHAH, oh man.  I’ve never thought of it that way but I do love the things that kids say when I’m working.  x)

Reminds me of How I Met Your Mother…

“Was I drunk? Or a kid?”

Plans for tomorrow
  • Wake up between 11 AM and noon (hey, I work until 4 or 5 AM tonight, don’t judge!).
  • Do this, for the third day in a row.
  • Make breakfast! Banana pancakes and scrambled eggs.
  • Go to Target with Matt, do our wedding registry.
  • Catch up on some things. Order a different book for class, call my grandparents, order the dress I’m wearing to another wedding in March, pay rent.
  • Celebrate Laura’s 22nd birthday! We’re getting Thai food which I am super stoked about, and then hitting the town.

It’s going to be a good day.

Yesterday my mom posted a picture on Facebook of my 5 year old brother Sam wearing a pair of shoes he picked out for his first day of preschool.

She explained to him in the store that they were really made for girls. Sam then told her that he didn’t care and that “ninjas can wear pink shoes too.”

Sam went to preschool and got several compliments on his new shoes. Not one kid said anything negative toward him about it.

However, my mom received about 20 comments on the photo from various family members saying how “wrong” it is and how “things like this will affect him socially” and, put most eloquently by my great aunt, “that shit will turn him gay.”

My mom then deleted the photo and told Sam that he can wear whatever he wants to preschool, that it’s his decision. If he wants to wear pink shoes, he can wear pink shoes.

Sam then explained to her that he didn’t like them because they were pink, he liked them because they were “made out of zebras” and zebras are his favorite animal :)

This bowling alley has my favorite restaurant in Pawnee.

I don’t know what it is with these quiet bouts of mine on here. I’ve always had them while blogging. Any site, any age.

I’ve still been reading my dashboard every day, but for some reason I couldn’t muster up the effort to make a proper update.

I hate that. But I do it anyway. And I know that I do it. I don’t know what it is, though.

School started last week, which is good. I missed it, and I need the structure of stuff to do OTHER than work.

I do need to get back into the habit of working out though. I have been eating awesomely, however. I’ve been using the Lose It! app on my phone and it’s been helping.

I have been sick these past few days. That, with the weather, and “shark week” looming, I am kinda meh.

Otherwise things are good. The apartment just needs a good cleaning.

I am making tacos for dinner, hooray.

P.S. Tumblr buddy, if you are out there watching, I know you had said something about snail mail way back around Christmas, when you let me know about the F21 gift card. I still haven’t received anything in the physical post, so I hope that nothing was lost! :(

This is humorous and all, I laughed, and maybe I’m reading into it too deeply (who cares?), but…

“However, Dr Tim Spector, from St Thomas’ Hospital in London, told New Scientist that the thicker tissue might actually be part of the clitoris - another extremely sensitive area.”

I was linked to that article from Wikipedia.

If this hypothesis is true, then the g-spot isn’t technically it’s own erogenous zone. It’s part of the clitoris. And honestly? That makes SO MUCH SENSE.

Of course there’s a sweet spot. It’s stupid to deny THAT. But it being part of the clitoris makes a lot more sense to me than it being it’s own little spot.

Fixed it.
